Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that the Parliament should consider the candidacy to the office of the Head of the Accounting Chamber in the end of the current session.

Asked by Ukrainski Novyny news agency on Friday, V. Lytvyn announced that the draft resolution on dismissal of Ex-Head of the Accounting Chamber has already been drafted.

However, the Head of the Parliament named several reasons why these personnel affairs had not been scrutinized yet. "First of all, due to the numerous problems in the work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine I had no opportunity to meet the Head of the Accounting Chamber Valentyn Symonenko. I am convinced that adoption of such a document without this meeting is unfair", he stressed. "Secondly, it is necessary to introduce the agreed candidacy of the Head. The consultations are ongoing, but it is only general talks with no proposals", V. Lytvyn declared.

According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, "If there is no confidence in 226 votes, we shall not start this process." "Still, I am convinced that there should be the conversations between the leaders of five factions, as now they can not reach a compromise", he stated.
